Muay Thai is Thailand’s national sport and is known as the art of eight limbs. It uses punches, kicks, elbows, and knee strikes, creating eight points of contact. With a history stretching back over a thousand years, Muay Thai is even introduced in schools in Thailand as part of their sports curriculum. The modern form of the sport officially moved into the ring in 1921.

While Muay Thai is best known for its striking, it also includes clinch work, balance, and controlled throwing techniques. It’s a well-rounded martial art that develops both physical skill and mental resilience.

At WMAC, we create a positive and encouraging training environment where teens are supported to train hard while working as part of a team.

Our focus is not only on building fitness and confidence, but also on helping students develop a strong technical understanding of Muay Thai. We train hard. We train smart. And we improve together.

Our Teens Muay Thai program is carefully structured so students learn both offensive and defensive techniques. Each week, a set of drills is taught and practiced as a group before being applied during pad work with our trainers. Students are guided throughout the class, with coaches correcting technique and helping them get the most from each session.

Classes are designed to build coordination, focus, balance, confidence, and stress management, while encouraging teens to give their best in a supportive environment.

Each session begins with warm-ups to prepare the body, followed by the skill or drill of the week. Students are encouraged to work through the technique before applying it during pad work. Sparring is introduced as an option once students have developed the necessary skills and confidence. While never forced, it is encouraged over time as a valuable way for teens to test and refine what they’ve learned in a safe and controlled setting.

This program supports teens as they grow in skill, confidence, and self-discipline, both on and off the mats.
