Bjc Muay Thai Adult

Muay Thai, which is Thailand’s national sport, is referred to as the “art of eight limbs”. This is due to making use of punches, kicks, elbows and knee strikes, thus using eight “points of contact”. Muay Thai has been practiced for over one thousand years, although the modern form officially began in a ring in 1921. Focused predominantly on the striking elements, Muay Thai also incorporates grappling and throwing techniques from the clinch.

We at WMAC focus on ensuring a positive training environment, built on training hard while working as part of team, and helping each other improve. Not only to become physically and mentally strong but also to have a deep technical understanding of the art of Muay Thai. We train hard. We train smart. We challenge ourselves and improve daily. Muay Thai is a great way to help you learn coordination, focus , balance, build you confidence and is also a great form of stress relief while learning new skills.

Whether you wish to simply study Muay Thai for recreation, or to step into the ring and fight, becoming part of Wickham’s Martial Arts will have you reach your goals. Our ranking system is a great way to reach a goal. The ranking system is based like the karate belt system, start from a White Top and work your way through to a Black Top (similar to Black belt). At each level you are challenged to improve and increase your fitness. The tests are done regularly in the club in a friendly environment.
